The UK’s first industry-led postgraduate education and research facility in structural integrity has appeared in the autumn issue of the Science in Parliament Journal.
The article demonstrates the need for a greater number of qualified structural integrity specialists. The National Structural Integrity Research Centre (NSIRCTM) aims to address this shortage.
Building work on the NSIRC development has started and is due to finish late 2014. It will house state-of-the-art engineering facilities and offer postgraduate courses in structural integrity.
